The Spongebob Secret Lair Cards Are Amazing

We have known for a while that SpongeBob cards were coming to Magic the Gathering this year via a Secret Lair drop. It is wild that this year is giving us Final Fantasy, Spiderman, Avatar, and SpongeBob. Speculation on what kind of cards these would be was all over the place.

Until today. 

There are some normal SpongeBob themed character cards and fun lands but what the real chase cards here are the meme cards. SpongeBob reaction memes have been used around the internet for years and I can't tell you how happy it makes me that it the memes have made the jump to something like this. 

The drop happens at 11 AM central time on March 24. There will be foil and regular treatments but we all know those foils will go first and we will all be fighting over the normal ones. I did try getting the Marvel and Monty Python drops last year and by the time my turn came up in line to order every option was sold out. I have no expectations of being able to get a set this time either but that won't stop me from trying. Third time is a charm.
