Opening the latest Lorcana
Melinda WyersShare
The latest Lorcana set, Archazia's Island, released to card shops last Friday. I haven't played Lorcana in a while. The last box I bought was Shimmering Skies and that fell pretty flat for me. The decks I saw at games resembled the same meta ones I was playing against during Ursula's Return.
If you are a Disney buff and wondering what on earth "Archazia" is, it's a custom location made for the Lorcana game universe. The art is great, as always, and this time they have added a new card type: dual ink color cards. If you are using a dual color card you need to be running both colors in your deck. Lorcana doesn't have land/energy cards, you simply flip over "inkable" cards to use as mana. You can't currently run more than two per deck but I'm sure the rules will expand as the game gets bigger.
Anyway, my local shop had troves available so I picked one up to see what was in this latest set:
All of the cards shown will be listed in the TCG Player shop. If you skipped the video, I didn't get anything too crazy. Pulling enchanted cards is very difficult and run a premium price. Some cards from the set are obviously good in the game such as the new Tamatoa and Mushu cards which are priced higher than those in the same rarity.
I'll be doing another box opening video when my Journey Together boxes come in. Maybe I'll have my audio worked out better by then.
